Be Still

Bird Song and Butterfly Wings

“I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station, through which God speaks to us every hour, if we will only tune.”  ~George Washington Carver   The morning breeze rippled the curtains.  Sunlight streamed between the slats of the mini-blinds –  a warm caress on my cheek.  Together, the breeze and the sun seemed to be saying, “Come on.  Get up.  Join us in this beautiful morning!”   How could I not throw back the covers and plant my feet on the floor?  I stretched, breathed deeply the fresh morning air and answered the call to rise.  Before long,...
